Self-Divine-ation … Defining a Divine Future!

 by: Edward B. Toupin

In some of my counseling and coaching sessions, my clients ask me to perform a reading to tell them their future. In many cases, my response is, “why don’t you tell me your future?” They stop and stare, speechless. Of course, that sounds sarcastic and demeaning, but indeed, you know your future better than anyone else!

I am in no way knocking the psychic arts, but I’m presenting you with the fact that you have the ability to define and determine your future and outcomes as much as any psychic. “Divination for personal use” is merely a way to vocalize and symbolize that which you already know about yourself!

It is interesting to consider the future. Indeed, every decision we made and action we took in the past placed us where we are right now. As such, every decision we make and action we take in the present creates a path to a point in time in the future. Each decision establishes a series of events and situations that allow us to move forward from our current circumstances into a new set of complementary circumstances.

Indeed, every entity in the Universe maintains an established future path. However, at one point or another, these paths do cross our own. Even if it is a chance meeting or a situation that places you on a road for success with your endeavors, these are events defined by the paths chosen by you and other involved entities. But, it is essential to realize that since you can control your current actions and events, then indeed this gives you the “power of control” over your future.

Don’t think that the future is easy! You must visualize your destination and desires and then task the Universe to reach your Vision. For every new future, you will encounter a new set of obstacles and challenges to enhance your character and test your mettle. It is give and take — you task the Universe, and it wants to ensure that you can handle what you demand. But, don’t let this sway you as it is part of forward movement and positive growth!

I have a little trick that I use, which seems to work well, to enhance my self-esteem and ensure that I am moving in the right direction. I task the Universe with a 10-point challenge. I pose the demand: “I expect to see 10 positive events in my life in the next month that are in line with the positive aspects of my direction and Vision.” I found that demands and conversations work better than simplistic questions. However, indeed, within a month, I either see 10 positive events or I am able to find, through erroneous results, that I need to adjust some aspect of my direction. Such erroneous results are events that appear positive in the context of the path, but are not necessarily what I had hoped for in the long run. In such cases, this means that it’s time to reevaluate and readjust.

Here is a small test for you. It takes some practice, but it can be done. Before you go to your psychic, examine your questions yourself and make some affirmative decisions and execute actions in the direction of your Vision. “Feel” your future. Do not reveal your ideas, evaluation, and feelings to them. If they are true, they will verify and clarify your own findings. Your next reading could be more revealing and satisfying that any one you’ve ever had in the past because you will be in control!

Take control of your destiny and define your future — don’t let it languish in “going with the flow”. Change the course of your own river! It takes time. It takes patience. But, it can be done!

What does it mean to practice self care? It’s creating a space and a healthy mind and body to support you in being the best you can be. If your space is filled with chaos, drama, disorganization, sadness and negativity then greatness cannot easily occur.

We have so many choices in our daily life that either support us or diminish us in some way. We choose to either drink water or have a soda. We choose sugar or something that nourishes our mind, body and spirit. We choose to exercise, be positive or negative, creative or continue to be stale, inspiring or judgmental, brave or fearful, and so on. We are the creators of our space. We can either build our health or chip away at it.

Who would you be if you had enough money that you didn’t have to worry about it? Enough love that you didn’t have to search for it? Enough friends in order to always have support and encouragement? Enough free time that you could nourish your soul, have fun, and learn freely?

Self care is really about putting your needs first so you may have; all the energy, positive outlook, generosity, love and more to give to everyone else. If you don’t fill these things for yourself you won’t have them to give away to others. If you are healthy, you will have energy and drive to co-create with someone else. If your past issues are all resolved, then you won’t bring baggage with you to your relationships. It’s evident then, that you are not being selfish but self nurturing.

If your needs are not met you will be searching them out in other people. You will not be creating your “own” life, but living the life others are giving you. Remember, you are the star in the movie of your life. You get to write most of the script yourself. Are you writing your own script and honoring yourself for the unique miracle that the creator fashioned? What does greatness mean to you?

You may want to take an assessment of your life in the areas of spirituality, personal space, career, family, physical, emotional health and community. Write down three things in each category that need attention. Devote some serious effort to eliminating any problem issues. At that pointFeature Articles, you will be able to look ahead one year to see how problem free your life will have gotten.

The awesome power of Nature has once again won over the world, but this time, with ther rare tsunami tidal waves that tested the stability and fragility of human life.

Out of all the upsetting and disturbing stories that have been shared and heard, it is very suprising to hear that hundreds, and even thousands have survived against all odds! Doesn’t it just wonder about life and it’s meaning? Does it test your faith?

There is more to life than what we think.

A little four year old boy miraculously survived in a tree for over two days without water or food. Why did he survive when his whole family, home and world drowned before his young eyes? There must be a reason for that four-year old boy surviving. Hmmm.

Strangely we do not see dead animals, dogs or cats littering the beaches where the tsunami struck. They have a sixth sense and so they sensed what has happening earlier and fled the shores. Maybe we should tune into our sixth sense a bit more. The tsunami is a wakeup call. The shifting weather patterns, earthquakes and melting polar icecaps are all signals reminding us about the changes that are happening across the world.

It is time that we use our minds to see through the effects towards their causes. What can we do?

Become a champion.
Each person must become a champion for change. Think big yet start small. What does that mean? If you want to take part and help make a difference do so, but beware – you must begin with your inner self first! Connect to your intuition, your vibrations and the universe! Come to terms with what happens because if you don’t, it’ll have a knock-on affect on those who need your support.

Turn your mind towards solutions.
The world has so many advanced today, but how comes the fear never leaves? Turn your mind towards solving our world’s greatest problems. Begin with the five biggest problems in your life. Seek to solve them as your contribution to solving the world’s problems.

You are not alone.
Many people are making small changes in their lives. Although media and newspapers portray mainly bad news, there are still people of honour and goodness who wish to make a difference. People are asking questions about how we can change our lives and world for the better. People are re-evaluating their lives. In living rooms, classrooms, prison cells, temples and hospitals – Change is happening.

Start now.

Start to make changes in your life now. Many people are waiting for a new leader to emerge, someone to say “follow me”. Well, the irony is that we all need to become a leader of our own.
Muhammed Ali once produced the world’s shortest poem when he simply said “MEFeature Articles, WE”. It’s a simple message that can perhaps save an entire species.

Lunacy at its Finest … Crazymakers and Intimidators In Your Life!

 by: Edward B. Toupin

Did you ever run into that person that just nags and picks and scares you into submission? How about that person that appears to turn your world upside-down? What about that person that literally sucks the energy right out of your soul? Believe it or not, these people do exist and they can affect you in ways you never thought possible.

— Crazymakers —

A Crazymaker is someone who feeds on negative energies and tends to pull everyone around them into major melodramas. They are the type of people who have to either be the savior, the “I told you so”, or the center of a situation. They will do anything to take a calm and easy situation and turn it into a disaster to place them in the middle. They will then come in and act as though it was your fault just to feed off of your negative vibes and become the hero. Then, when you confront them about their ways, they feel as though you’re projecting your own weaknesses onto them and they suddenly begin to behave like a psychologist. Or, they will turn from their brutal ways into a simple victim and wonder why the world hates them so much.

I have known several Crazymakers in my life and, sadly, in my early years, I fell for their behaviors simply because I was not wise enough to know what they were doing. They worked hard to gain my trust and then turned around and created so much turmoil that it was as though I was caught in a tornado. I turned from a confident individual to a half-witted cow caught in the updraft of the spiraling winds!

There are several ways to deal with a Crazymaker, but the best way is to simply let them roam in their self-loathing world — you need to simply stay away. But, you have to be quick enough to identify these types of people because, amazingly enough, they strike fast and hard and the minute you falter, they jump in like vultures on a dead carcass.

— Intimidators —

While Crazymakers go out of their way to achieve power through chaos and negative energies, Intimidators go out of their way to achieve power from fear. These types of people are calm and cool on the outside and mean-spirited on the inside. They tend to work against you to instill self-doubt and act as though “they have you pegged.” They do this using pre-determined scripts into which they try to place you so that they can control your moods and direction. In the end, as you become frustrated and fall into their scripts that define whom “they think you should be,” they too increase their levels of angst to keep you down and under their spell.

The best way to deal with such a person is to simply let them run through their scripts and avoid falling prey to their imposed directions. They are not easy to spot as they tend to become your best friend and then, they slowly turn the situation to their personal benefit. You never know what hit you because the transition occurred at a slow pace and you begin to think it’s your own fault for the failure of the situation.

— What’s next? —

Crazymakers and Intimidators enjoy their task because it gives them satisfaction in knowing that they have taken control over a situation. They are interested in predetermined responses to their actions. This is important to them because, generally, they don’t have control over anything else in their lives. Additionally, by making you look less than desirable allows them to feel as though they are better than you and those around them. In the end, it is easier for them to live off of the negative energies that they create. They cannot live in a world of positive energies and “equals” because they feel inferior to other human beings.

Crazymakers and Intimidators are smart in that they know how to manipulate people and situations in what they think of as a “test of survival.” However, they don’t know how to react when their ploys don’t work. Your best bet is to notice these types of personalities and put them on the back burner. Any type of response in their favor pushes the ball further into their court.

Over the years I have generalized some signs that come in handy for determining if either of these personalities is near. If someone comes to you and purposefully says something that goes completely “against your grain,” then they are an Intimidator. If someone dramatizes a situation or somehow works to play one side against another simply to become the savior, they’re a Crazymaker. However, over time, if you observe others, you will be able to recognize these types of people and identify your own “tell-tale” indicators.
